RC aircrafts are very dangerous objects and can cause harm or fatality!! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE!!

There have been instances where people have been killed or severely injured e.g. in EU and US and now in Asia.

One may sometimes be over-confident of one's skills and tempted to fly close to oneself, but should not underestimate mechanical or electronic failure which is difficult to predict or detect. One can only avoid by maintaining self discipline to carryout pre-flight checks and also obeying the rules of the flying field.

Heed this as a lesson to learn and hopefully not experience!

Yes, you were right Owen, RC aircraft are extremely dangerous especially with powerful motors or glow/gasoline engines. To all RC flier friends especially to the newbies please,please take more precautions in operating this such a dangerous hobby. Everyone knows that RC flying is the most exciting hobby . BUT if not carefully operated it will turn into disaster. Even though that pre-flight check was done but mechanical or electronic failure may occur at any time . Again please remember that RC aircrafts are not TOYS .
