RCAB FunFly Event 19.10.2008

Dear All,

It has been tentatively agreed that the RCAB Funfly will be held on the 19th of October 2008. The date is chosen to take advantage of the Hari Raya Festivities....

So to all who are interested to attend, pls. pencil this date down in your calendars. Pass the word around amongst the RC'ers who are not in these forums.

We will come forward with the agenda for the day..... as well as details...

But the bottom line message is Fly, Food and Fun!

Yanrc, it's a good suggestion and can attract more new RC pilots in KB. One thing, we don't have a proper flying site. But few years back (not mistaken in 1998 or 2000) when RBAF Flying Club and L Selection ada buat Radio Control Models Airshow di KB, Seria and Lumut. Di KB arah Padang KBRC, di Seria arah Padang Arena and di Lumut arah Padang Sekolah Menegah Lumut.

Also it's not impossible that it can be held again in the future......

Dear Brunei-RC flyers...

We have finalised the agenda for the funfly. Details are attached in the jpeg below (once i get to get the image upload function to work!!)

In Summary, we will need to raise approx $130 to top off the $110 remaining balance from the last collection for the runway flattening. This will be for the rental of the tents/chairs/tables

Also, it will be appreciated if anybody coming to bring some Hari Raya condiments/cakes/ snack to add to the overall food and drinks already arranged and sponsored for.

Dear RC Flyers...

On behalf of the organizing committee for the funfly 2008, i would like to express deep gratitude and many thanks to those who have effortlessly provided their time, energy and money to make this funfly a successful and happening event.

RCAB is still a young organization and with time and experience, we should be able to organize bigger and better RC aeromodelling events.

After Action Review & Future Suggestions:
- Missed out objective of group photo. Weather pick up at end of day. Next time to do at lunch break.
- Overall safety observed was very good. Minor intervention here and there.
- PA & Background Music improved the overall atmosphere compared to 2007 funfly
- 4x Tents are adequate compared to 2007 funfly. Require more tables though.
- Food and drinks as always is in abundance. Minimal wastage.
- Future Commercial Sponsors. Some interest expressed by vendors on this funfly for the next event etc.
- Commitment to keeping the field clean was very good. Little rubbish left over.
- Future Funfly Souvenir/ T-Shirts/ etc
- Do 2x funfly events per year. Outside monsoon/ rainy season
- Vendor Bazaar. Promotion on RC products during the event

Pls post any other suggestions/ ideas you may have to improve...

we also forgot to invite RTB to broadcast in Brunei news. Hopefully next year we have to organise a better funfly.....
