PostSubject: RC Hobby in Brunei.....   Fri Jan 04, 2008 4:12 pm

Hello RC friends....

For the love of the hobby, i have posted pics of RC stuff and activities on my website at:

www.erwansaid.com

Do drop by and post your comments.... Its a challenge to keep it updated, but i will try my best to post latest pics...

We can share setup and tech info on anything RC.

Currently i'm building up a turbine aircraft and would like to see if there are more interested friends to join me. I'm also working around a possible cheaper turbine option so that it will be more accessible for the masses i.e. below B$3k complete without TX/RX

Anyways, do check out my video of the first turbine startup in youtube...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVOEfth2bAk

I will continue to post progress on that build. It was a struggle to get clean kerosene, but to my amazement, i managed to secure supply from a neighbouring indian shop for B$0.40 a litre. Its still difficult to get turbine oil i.e. Aeroshell 500 or Mobil-1 Jet II.... and with the current liquids ban on airfreight has made it impossible unless i smuggle some in. hehehehehe

I have also acquired a new Turbine Jet airframe for $400 in Singapore and will be testing that one with my Jetcat P-80 instead of the Velox Airframe which i got from Fei-Bao Jets.

Cheers,
Owen
