OK, So 1/18 Onroad racing.

Thats because I have a Tamiya 1/10 Touring Racing car and several 1/10 Offroad Racing Buggies.

My son has a 1/16 Offroad buggy.

I dont have a 1/18 onroad.

I could be interested in some low stress racing. The weather has been terrible for flying lately.

Ah hah...this will be perfect then to complete the collection!...hehehehehe. Believe CH is bringing in the RTR.

Tried the track this afternoon with my dusty M18, since winds were strong and it is really fun. Its almost completed, just needing some minor touch ups. Will post some pics later on when i get there again.

I went down yesterday afternoon as it was too windy to fly. There was a 1/18 car and 1/10 running. Both brushless setups.

owen, is yours brushless. Whats your motor and ESC specs. may have to read up on this.
C--- said there were 50 guys interested in racing. Will be stock class and open (brushless). I would like to see each in action to see whats the best way to go. Speed or budget.

KiwiRC,

The M18 i'm running is pretty much a setup which i've had for several years back. Just dusted it out to get it going again.

The setup is a bonestock X-Ray M18, with an upgraded Exotek Motek 140mm chassis, a team Orion Coreless Modified Motor running 19 tooth pinion. ESC is the dated Futaba MC230 and using a 1000mah LiPo 2 cell. Tyres are original M18 kit rubber. Steering servo is from Hitec HS82MG.

Its quick enuf for me at least on my current skill level. We have someone running the M18Pro with a Castle Creations Mamba and its very2 quick. In fact it had to be turned down to 55% throttle in order to make it handle well. It was also running foam tyres.

The best bit abt running lipos is the run time. I clocked over 20+ mins on my setup. I have at some point intention to upgrade to brushless, as there are many now available that goes for less than B$100 e.g.HobbyWing 1/18th Combo

Even sometime the likes of CC is going for approx B$200 Mamba Micro Pro Combo

Oh yeah...on another note, there was also a 1/18 nitro powered too.... sounds really cute with the tiny engine on it...however runtimes aren't as good as lipo powered setups. Approx 5mins only. Xray NT18
