Hey Axenz,

Welcome to the dark side.... hehehehehehehe...

Things to watch our on your build:
1) Governor sensor clearance to original plastic engine fan. I have the experience whereby my governor was knocked out since the fan warps under load and the magnets can actually touch the sensor face if positioned to close. Give enough gap such that you can attain a good signal feedback
2) I noticed you use the red hitec servo horns. Make sure you trim the ends where the ball link are.... they will rub on the canopy. In the end, i went and bought the align round servo wheels....

Hai Owen,

After you told me regarding the sensor last Sunday, I did remove both servo infront to access and readjust my sensor. Hopefully everthing beress.

For the Servo Horn,

I took already from Hj Mazlan (not for freelah lol! ) , the round servo manufacture Align. But using it, at original hole I measure at 15mm. This will make my servo bad resolution travel due to short distance travel.

And again, I try to make the servo horn to 90deg with all numbers but all are the same unlike Futaba servo horn we can select different number to make it 90deg without subtrim.

So in that case I have to subtrim all 3 servo to make it 90 deg.

Here are the pic that the manufacture center Pulse at 1500 us

I have to adjust subtrim at 1570 us to make it 90 deg

You are right...forgot to mention about the subtrim, but thats what i had to do to line them up to 90Deg. In terms of resolution, its a pity actually - its pretty much a design flaw on the canopy. They shouldnt have made it too narrow and low, otherwise it will allow us to use longer horns.... but if its good for JK & AS, then it should be good enuf for us eh.

My general feeling towards the TREX vs the Raptor is that the TREX is more direct/ precise and tracks very good in the air. Also the lighter AUW makes it really nimble to flip around with.

Hehehehehe

Owen,

First flight this morning at Tanah Jambu. I got a feeling got sound during idle. But since the sun too bright I'm too lazy to adjust my engine. After my sensor led not blinking so ngamlah gerenti broken my sensor.

So what happen, at home... my sensor broken and my magnet missing. Anyway I've got spare for it.

Any my careless is my fan moving up and that's the time I forget to use nut to lock it and my clutch screw wasn't tighten... grhhh cuaiiiii hahaha... but still goodlah..

Just finish and going to try again next time... wish me luck Wink

Axenz,

Sorry to hear about the maiden issues.... but as i mentioned to you earlier in the week about the governor sensor mount, you gotta be careful with that when you are using the stock fan. It has been known that the fan is pretty soft and is not perfectly straight (warped) and at speed, it may touch the governor sensor. Shocked

When you install the magnet, make sure you enlarge the hole slightly so that you can let epoxy flow out a little. Otherwise if its too fit, you may be compressing an air bubble and eventually weaken the epoxy bond. The other solution is to get the Align metal fan.... take note that it even comes with its own magnets... so its very good! cheers

Good Luck!! flower

Axenz,

Yes. The align metal fan comes with a set of governor magnets, but you have to epoxy them in lah yourself. I was impressed, cos i actually bought spare GV1 magnets in preparation for the metal fan, but i was surprised that i already came with it.

The best part also is that unlike the plastic fan, where the magnet sits slightly higher than the fan, the one for the metal fan is completely flush so you won't have problems of ensuring clearance of the gov sensor.

Now isn't Align brilliant!.... not only in the TREX kit you get fuel stopper, skid stops, blade holder and battery straps, even the accessories are complete! They are really good value for money unlike other brands where all these things are optional
